DESERT BIKE
Dutch Klaas bought a R80GS on Ebay. It was send by post... on scale 1:9. Because he was not satisfied with all the shiny and imperfect plastic materials he found in the box, he made a lot himself; from a 2mm indentification plate, to the decals on the sparkplugs. From a leather toolsbox, to a real-looking tiny roadbook. Scratches were added together with a lot of desertdust. He éven re-spoked both wheels! Follow his detailed build up here.

BIKE IN A BOX

Matchbox Sidecar, Hondarora and Honda Trailer, 60s & 70s
Matchbox toys, started in 1953, were so named because the original models were packed in boxes similar in size and style to boxes of matches. The first miniature was designed for the owners daughter: her school only allowed children to bring toys that could fit inside a matchbox.
